Welcome to the Robotics Program at 100 Black Men of Augusta! We are thrilled to offer an engaging and enriching experience for elementary, middle, and high school students as part of our commitment to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education.

Program Overview

Our Robotics Program convenes every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, providing mentees with bi-weekly opportunities to explore the exciting world of robotics. Through hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and mentorship, participants delve into various aspects of robotics, from basic concepts to advanced applications.

Goals and Objectives

Foster Interest: We aim to ignite and sustain interest in robotics and related STEAM fields among our mentees.
Skill Development: Participants will acquire and enhance critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills essential for success in robotics.
Collaboration: Our program emphasizes teamwork, communication, and cooperation as students work together to design, build, and program robots.
Creativity: We encourage creativity and innovation, empowering mentees to think outside the box and explore their unique ideas.

Program Components

Educational Workshops: Engaging workshops cover fundamental concepts in robotics, including mechanics, electronics, programming, and automation.
Hands-on Projects: Mentees participate in hands-on projects, such as building and programming robots using LEGO Mindstorms or VEX Robotics kits.
Mentorship: Mentors provide guidance, support, and encouragement to mentees, serving as role models and advocates for their academic and personal growth.
